Even the most loving couples can find themselves caught in familiar cycles of distance, frustration, or misunderstanding. As humans, we’re wired for emotional connection, yet relationships can become painful when we start to feel unseen or misunderstood. When communication breaks down, it’s easy to feel alone — even when you’re together.
Reconnecting Through Understanding, Compassion, and Emotional Safety
Couples therapy offers a calm, supportive space to slow down, notice the patterns that create distance, and understand what’s happening beneath the surface. Together, we work to rebuild the emotional connection that once felt natural and strong.
A Safe Space for Every Kind of Couple
I welcome couples of all kinds — married or unmarried, LGBTQ+, intercultural, or in consensually non-monogamous or polyamorous relationships. Every partnership has its own story and dynamics, and my approach is inclusive, nonjudgmental, and attuned to the cultural, personal, and relational layers that shape how you connect.
Transcultural and Intersectional Awareness
Having worked extensively with transcultural and non-traditional couples, I bring an awareness of how identity, background, and cultural values shape the way partners connect. In therapy, we’ll explore how these layers influence communication and closeness — and build a shared understanding that honors each of your experiences and stories
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT): A Research-Backed and Proven Approach
I approach couples therapy through Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) — a deeply researched, evidence-based method that helps partners heal, grow, and reconnect.
In our work together, we’ll focus on:
· Recognizing the emotional patterns that keep you stuck
· Learning to express needs and feelings in ways that bring you closer
· Rebuilding trust, intimacy, and connection
· Creating new ways of reaching for each other that foster security and love
EFT goes beyond surface communication skills. It helps you understand why certain moments between you turn painful — and how to transform those moments into opportunities for closeness..
Fees
I am an “out-of-network” provider, which means if your insurance company offers out-of-network benefits, you should be reimbursed by your insurance company based on the terms of your individual policy. If you choose to file for reimbursement I will provide you a monthly Superbill that includes all required information to submit to your insurance company. Please contact your insurance company to clarify coverage and out-of-network benefits. Some helpful questions to ask are:
Do I have out-of-network benefits?
If so, what percentage is covered?
Do I have a deductible?
Is prior authorization required?
How do I submit a claim for reimbursement?
How long does it take to process reimbursements?
What is the reimbursement rate for CPT code 90847?
The fee for a 50-minute individual psychotherapy session is $250.
Payment is due at the end of each session
